This was our first visit. We didn't have reservations but we asked for table by the windows to see the great view of Lake Michigan. The staff went out of their way to seat us in the perfect spot. We started with the special, a seafood appetizer. A giant martini glass filled with oysters, shrimp , lobster claws and crab legs. Some of the best cold seafood I've ever had The oysters were so fresh and sweet, you would have thought we were on the ocean. My wife had pan fried walleye. She loved it. I had the halibut cheeks on angel hair pasta. It was topped with grilled asparagus. Everything was wonderful. It's unusual to get such fresh seafood in the Midwest. They also had a selection of fish from Lake Michigan For desert we split cherry bread pudding. Another Door county take on a traditional food by using local cherries. Again, very good. The wine selection also fit perfectly with the menu. The service was fantastic. Our waitress was very friendly and an impeccable server. She was genuinely concerned that we have a great dining experience. We'll definitely be back on our next visit to Door County.

We had a really nice breakfast here. Christopher had the cherry stuffed French toast and I had an Eggs Benedict type dish that included a slice of walleye pike. Both were quite yummy and the mimosas made with home made cherry juice was awesome. The restaurant was cozy and they play Sinatra music. Loved it. They were a bit pricey, but after all it was vacation time!

Amazing views and ambiance and amazing food. Prices are pretty reasonable as well! Must try the seafood combo app (apparently it's not on the menu).
(5)Dominique M.
The three course lobster boil was the absolute best food I've ever had! The ambience was beautiful, the fact that this gem of a restaurant can maintain a sense of class while offering food and seating to the animals which are part of so many humans' families is a real accomplishment and the views are beautiful. The staff is friendly and helpful too! I will most definitely be back, and frequently!
(5)Sonia L.
Fast courteous service and good food. Not a tourist trap at all. Upscale experience in door county. We went here only to get close to the lakeside and park for the fireworks. They knew this and it was no big deal. They said you are more than welcome. There were 4 of us and we only ordered one entrée and lots of appetizers. The perch plate was crunchy delish and harbor chowder was a real winner...leeks potatoes and local whitefish...very creamy and tasty.
(4)Jessica G.
Came for lunch, and the food was great! Both the fish sandwich and lobster roll were excellent. The fries are also delish! The ambience is exactly what I'd want for a lakeside, beachy atmosphere. It's comfy, airy, and so comfortable. A must-try!

Terrible! tourist trap! Locals say stay away!! This is probably one of the worst restaurants I've been to- ever! We started the dinner with escargot. There were maybe 4 escargot under the puff pastry and about a dozen mushrooms. The snails tasted like dirt. Interestingly, I had returned from a stay in Paris 2 weeks prior and escargot there did NOT taste like dirt! I ordered the halibut cheeks in a tomato cream sauce served over pasta. My husband ordered blackened whitefish. The server told him he should try the tuna because it was sooo good. Upon her recommendation he did. The server asked him how he wanted it cooked. He had not had tuna before, except on sushi, so he said well done. She did not discourage this. When we got our meals we were disappointed. My pasta had a tasteless under seasoned Alfredo sauce on it, if you can call it that. I wouldn't be surprised if it came out of a jar. My husband took one bite of his fish and said he couldn't eat it. I tasted it and it definitely tasted off. We immediately contacted the server about his fish and the first words out of her mouth were, "we can't take it off the bill". We hadn't even asked. We just wanted her to know something was wrong. She took a bit if fish to the chef finally. She returned and said it tasted like that because it was well done! I gently reminded the server she encouraged my husband to switch his order figuring they would take some responsibility. But to no avail he was stuck with what he ordered. What terrible customer service! And for the price, $36 just for the entree, the chef should of come out to talk to the customer. This place is trying to be a higher end restaurant but is awful. We shared our story with some locals later that evening and they said it was no good. Too bad we didn't talk to these people a few hours earlier! We are out $135.

Stopped in on our way out of Door Co. I got the Door County stuffed French toast and it was delicious. Very unique and not too sweet.

Total disappointment for our last meal in Door County. Service slower than imaginable and rude. We were seated, and just after a table next to us. By the time I'd had enough, lour neighbors were given menus, water, orders taken and the first round of drinks were delivered. I walked up to the server station to ask if we had a waitress and what was up. I was told " We will get to you" and the attitude!! A waitress did finally appear. We ordered "catch of the day" scallops and a walleye fish cake sandwich with one drink. The scallops were so over done they were just little rubbery balls in butter. The walleye cake dry and tough, way over done with a gluey piece of processed cheese over it. We left 3/4 of our meals on our plates. The waitress did not seem to notice. Slow service through out the meal, inattentive almost rude service, awful food, overpriced. What more can I say. It is a beautiful setting with lake views, pretty gardens, love to dine out doors.

Service was great. Oyster were very good and food was good not great for the price point . Definitely put it on your list while in Door.
(4)Mike L.
Lobster boil is 100% worth it Only complaint were the dinner rolls were only average. Otherwise everything else was great
(5)Kathleen L.
So disappointed with this place... The 6 of us in our family went there for lunch. The waiter was obnoxious. We ask if we can do separate checks, he quickly and adamantly replies- absolutely not, we don't do separate checks and that's written on the menu at least 3 times (he laughs) OK. No problem but what's with the attitude? We start ordering. My mom asks kindly if she could just taste the lobster bisque before ordering a bowl? He replies adamantly -absolutely not. The owner is here and absolutely not. OK. We get it. Don't ask for anything- we know your response. It ruined our lunch. His attitude was off the charts. There is no excuse for rudeness! Especially to my mother!

My boy friend and I wanted to get breakfast before hitting the road to head back home. We had passed here on a bike ride and decided it looked good to come back the next day. Although the food was good...we waited close to an hour to get it. Customers who were seated after us got their plates before us. The restaurant was not crowded by any means and there were PLENTY of servers. We ordered a simple omlette and eggs, nothing big that should have taken 45 minutes to cook. I was starving when I got there so to have to wait close to an hour with just water and juice was not pleasant. When we did get our entrees it was good, but again it was about an hour later.

Found this place a few years ago and now after my second visit it's worthy of a 5star review. It's a total mix of door county kitchyness and upscale dining mixed into one. From the converted old school jumbo TV your parents had now converted into a fish tank in the bar...to the patio that makes you feel like you are eating in your neighbors back yard. Yet the food brings this place into another category fit for foodies. Everything I have tried is really good and honestly one of the best places I have eatin in Door Co. (Although LOL there aren't a lot of great eating establishments in Door Co. It's still got great food). I gravitate more and more the the Lake Michigan side for good places to eat the more I come up here. And this one is at the top of the list.
(5)Leung T.
Breakfast monopoly. In Bailey Harbour, this is the only decent place for breakfast, at least in the summer. Seems other places have tried to open for breakfast but there aren't enough customers. I ate breakfast here a few days ago & the food was good, but a bit pricy for what it was ) $35 for 2 for a not so special breakfast that would have cost less than $20 in NYC where I'm from. But they do have a monopoly, the service & decor is both very nice. And the place is in the water & you can sit outside... All better than my $20 NYC places so you go for that kind of stuff, it may be worth it.
(4)Ashley G.
This is a must if you're in Baileys Harbor. The food is divine. The lobster boil is fantastic if you're available on the days it is served. You get a large, pre-cracked lobster, potatoes, corn, mussels, and clams along with lobster bisque and cherry bread pudding. You won't be disappointed. Additionally, the views are absolutely stunning.
(4)Donna K.
Got there at 3:50 p.m. And the hostess told us that we can't have dinner until 4:30, but we can have lunch if we want. We agreed and were led to our table. The hostess pulled my seat out and told me to watch out for the spilled milk on the floor. A gentlemen came and took away the table settings (lunch wasn't good enough for the good stuff?). We placed our order and the waitress told me to watch out for the milk on the floor behind me. Our food arrived promptly and was pretty good. A few customers passed by and told me to watch out for the milk on the floor behind me. We paid the bill and the milk was still on the floor. I used the restroom on my way out and it was filthy. There was several people working and preparing for the 4:30 dinner, but cleaning was definitely not a priority there.
(2)Leigh S.
The breakfast is wonderful! The lake views are priceless. They have an adorable menu for dogs, but of course it needs to be warm enough to sit outside. I went here for dinner a few years ago and I felt it was a bit over priced for what I got, but it's worth taking another shot!

A planned trip to Maine this summer fell through, so we headed to our go-to destination, Door County instead. But, I had lobster-lust, and Harbor Fish Market offers whole boiled lobster. On our fist visit, I got the New England boil: lobster, corn on the cob, new potatoes, mussels, clams, lobster bisque and cherry cobbler. A lot of food, and mostly quite good. The weak link was the bisque; no discernible lobster meat, and too sweet. (Our waiter the second night suggested that there was too much sherry in it; if so, they are using cream sherry instead of the correct dry sherry.) My wife enjoyed her scallops, but found the too-thick crust on the risotto cake off-putting. On our second visit I went with the lobster only. $15 less, but still included asparagus and a baked potato, a better value than the New England boil in my opinion. My wife went with the excellent gravlax and a salad, but get the dressing on the side as they tend to overdo it. Both lobsters were somewhat overcooked; they had a chewiness that perfectly steamed lobster avoids. I ate every bit of both, though. I would have given HFM four stars (well, three and a half) except for their wine pricing. They are in the ranks of greedy restaurateurs who mark up their wines by 300% or more. Our 2013 Joel Gott sauvignon blanc (misrepresented on the list as a 2012) was $36, even though it retails for $10, and HFM paid even less for it. Although admittedly quixotic, I am on a mission to call out this loathsome price gouging for what it is.
(2)Phil S.
Best food on the lake side of Door County. The gravlox steeped in vodka and dill was perfection. The salmon my son ordered was excellent. All-in-all an excellent experience.

My husband and I stumbled upon this place for lunch on our first day visiting Door County. We like it so much that we went there again the next morning for breakfast! Beautiful view, classy atmosphere, incredible food and service. For lunch we both had the best soup and sandwich ever (subbing the soup of the day for the lobster bisque--worth it!) For breakfast we had a lobster omelette and a meat lovers quiche. I don't even like quiche but I ate the entire thing, it was that good. I also ordered a chai tea. Our waitress (Tori, who was phenomenal and had only been there 2 days) wasn't sure if they had chai available so early but she returned with one and said something about "running to the coffee shop" to get it...there's a coffee shop next door so that may have been what she was referring to. If so, I have to give HUGE props to a business having such high quality customer service. The man at the bar (not sure of his name) gave us lots of travel tips and directions to them. Very kind and very helpful!
(5)John S.
Excellent service, outdoor patio and drinks. The food is fresh and tasty and we found it a great place to have a late lunch.
(4)Courtney A.
We stopped here on our way through town. We were looking for some good whitefish and figured this would be the place to go. Once we decided on what we wanted the waiter second guessed our choices and then said they were out of whitefish. After that strange interaction we decided to finish our drinks and leave. We ended up at a place with much nicer staff, better prices and the whitefish we were looking for. Skip this place and make the short drive to Fish Creek instead.
(1)Carri C.
I had the perch---tasted fresh and perfectly cooked. My husband had the whitefish, which he really enjoyed. Really like how they are dog friendly on the patio. Good service and pretty ambiance. My only small criticism are the wine choices, which are limited and overpriced for the quality. I will return.
(4)Ryan B.
Really good food with fairly large portions. Awesome dining areas inside and out, right on the lake.
(5)John B.
C and I had dinner here last Tuesday. It was our second visit, which reminded me of our first one. The bar, in the front of the restaurant is rather nice, although there wasn't a single person there. Too bad, because it looks like it would be a nice place to hang out. Cuisine: 1 cocktail and one bottle of red wine. A bowl of lobster bisque to share. Walleye Main lobster Dessert: none The cocktail was excellent, but the wine was just so-so at around $38. The lobster bisque was good. There was not much in the way of lobster pieces, but that doesn't make it a bad soup at all. Walleye: Very good. Lobster: Very good. It was cracked open expertly, rendering the tools and bibb unnecessary. Service: Our hostess and waitress performed well and the service was good, but they were not especially warm or friendly. Perhaps it;s a cultural thing (they are not locals). Our server, as she was reciting the specials, seemed more interested in admiring her reflection in the window than looking at us. Ambiance: The dining room has a drywall ceiling and wall, which makes the room rather noisy. Sound seems to reverberate. The server at the next table had a rather loud voice, which was downright annoying. When he spoke, we had to pause our conversation because it was so distracting. The real lost opportunity here is the outdoor area between the dining room and the lake. A good part of it is paved with stone (parking? Hopefully not). There is a silly arbor that punctuates the middle of the view, with a tall pole with a bird house and some rocks strewn between the paving and lawn. A distracting bright light glares toward the dining room. It's a shame that this area is overlooked because this could be spectacular in the hands of a competent architect or landscape designer. Bottom line: Would we return? I don't think so. Frankly, $159 (inclues tip) for two people is too expensive for what it is.

We stopped in Baileys Harbor on our way into Door County last week. We thought we'd bum around a bit and grab some lunch. There was a terrible wave of storms the day before, knocking out power to a large chunk of the area, with some places still out of power. Because of that, the places to eat or shop were somewhat limited so we landed here. My husband and I each ordered a Bloody Mary and a sandwich for lunch. The bloodys were surprisingly good. It isn't often we find them thick and spicy enough for our liking, so that was a great start. We ate outside, which was nice with a great view. Our sandwiches (a turkey avacado club and Reuben) were OK, nothing spectacular, but enjoyable. Seemed a little on the pricey side, when compared to other places we had similar items in the Ephraim/Sister Bay Area. Maybe we should've tried the seafood, as the lady at the table next to us loudly exclaimed several times how excellent her tuna wrap was.

My wife and I had dinner at the Market for our anniversary last year. I had lobster and my wife had the prime rib. The evening was a home run! Beautiful ambiance, wonderful service and killer food at a fair price.
(5)Kara K.
If I could give a half star I would. Being from central WI I understand that prices are higher in Door county... But this place is committing robbery! My husband had 2 drinks and the steak special (which was nothing special) and I had 1 drink and a cup of lobster bisque soup. The bill was $96 dollars. As consumers we made a mistake by not asking what the price was on the steak, but NEVER did I think someone would charge $50 for a 10oz steak with mash potatoes and asparagus, no side salad or anything. When I suggested to the server that they list the prices for the specials she told me that the owner doesn't even allow them to tell the price unless the customer specifically asks... BS! I will never refer anyone to this place
(1)Connie Z.
Had lunch here, sat inside as it was very hot. Very cute decor with local art for sale on display. We got the sandwich and soup, and the salad and soup. The sandwich (pulled pork) was giant and delicious, as was the Greek lemon rice soup. The salad (with strawberries and honeydew) was perfect. The lobster bisque was a little heavy for a warm day. Server was great, very attentive, and prices were less than expected. Definitely recommend for that DC experience!
(5)senna c.
This was just about the least stellar place i've been to. Service was so slow we almost walked out, wish we did! The wine was terrible, my salad tasted like it was made hours ago and left sitting out. Kids fries and shrimp was about the only thing edible. Oh yes, and I've eaten at mcdonalds that were cleaner than this place. Yuck!
(1)Rosann F.
Seriously, what the heck happened to this place? Let me start by saying our bill was $150.00 for dinner, and there was only TWO of us! I had made reservations, so we were seated promptly next to the window overlooking the lake. (One of the few positives) Our waitress (her name escapes me) was 'meh'. Her hair was a mess and I kept wondering where it would show up in my food. When she brought the bread and butter to our table we found what appeared to be DOG HAIR in the butter! We showed it to her and she responded 'isn't that nice'. No apologies whatsoever. She took it away and brought a new cup of butter which I pushed to the side. (Strike one) The utensils were dirty with dried, crusty food stuck to to them. (Strike two) My husband had the lobster boil. I had king crab legs. I asked the server if I would get a full pound of crab legs, since they were charging $40.00 for them. She had no clue. I ordered wine (moscato) and it was fine. My husband ordered a beer. The waitress brought a glass with his beer and the glass was filthy. When she realized it was dirty she said, 'You probably don't want a glass'. (Strike three) Both of us had the Lobster Bisque. It tasted like flour and there wasn't a discernible piece of lobster in either bowl. (Strike four) The lobster boil came with clams that were slimy. Bad sign, so we didn't eat them. The remaining food was ok. Nothing to rave about. (Strike five) His dinner came with dessert, cherry bread pudding. He opted to take it to go. The waitress also mentioned they had banana cream pie and I asked for a slice to go as well. When we got back to our room and started to dig in to our treats we couldn't have been more disappointed. The banana cream pie was more of a flavorless custard pie with old slices of banana on top. I threw it away. It was disgusting. His cherry bread pudding wasn't much better and also went in the trash. (Strike six) All in all, for the prices they charge, I expect better quality, cleanliness and food free of dog hair. I even gave feedback on the card in the bill folder and left my name and email. Did I ever hear from them? No. A sad indicator that they don't care about the customer. We have had dinner here each time we visited Door County over the last 4 years. We will not be returning.

This place is TERRIBLE. So call us crazy, but we've been screwed over by this place twice now. First time we walked in the place was last summer for dinner. We had a toddler and a baby in a carrier. When we walked in the ambiance was dead. Only one other table was taken. The place was silent, no music, no life inside. We walked out and went for an awesome dinner at The Cornerstone Pub across the street. We boiled it down to being winter and maybe not many visitors to the area, even though it was over New Year... So stupidly we tried again. This time was over the Fourth of July weekend last year. We went in for breakfast about an hour and a half prior to the parade starting. The restaurant was somewhat full, but there were still a handful of empty tables scattered in the dinning room. We placed our order and waited. And waited. And waited. 5 starving kids, 4 miserable adults, and a grumpy teenager all waiting for breakfast for an hour and a half. Two of our kids ordered yogurt and each ordered a muffin. I'm not sure if they were shipping in the muffins from Chicago but after an hour we seriously considered this to be a possibility... We exchanged frustrated looks with a few other patrons, many just walked out of the restaurant without their food complaining of the long wait. We scrambled and after half our table called it quits and walked out, we asked for our order to go and when it finally arrived (NOTHING SPECIAL) we ate it out of styrofoam boxes on the curb outside. We were offered no discount or apologies from management. Well we must have had amnesia because this year we actually made the SAME stupid mistake and visited again. I mean it couldn't be how they ALWAYS run their restaurant, right? They couldn't still be open for business a whole year later using the same snail's pace single cook and crappy waitstaff, right? WRONG. So this time was the same Fourth of July weekend. We really thought we'd planned ahead and accounted for any slow service by arriving an hour and a half prior to the start of the parade. We were told our party of 9 (4 adults, 5 kids) would need to be split up. Instead of seating us at the numerous options of tables together, we were seated on opposite sides of the restaurant. Ok fine, whatever, we can handle that. We told the hostess and our server that today we were in a hurry to get out to the parade, so we ordered all our food upon the greeting of the waitress to avoid any delay in getting our food. I ordered an ham and cheese omelette and asked for her to add in some green peppers. I was told no, they couldn't do that today. Ummm okkkkk. My husband ordered scrambled eggs and bacon, my kids ordered yogurt and fruit and the other ordered chocolate chip pancakes. So we wait. And wait. And wait. We begin to look around the restaurant and notice it's only about 30% full. Many open tables. Why the slow service? We begin to get nervous that once again we would miss the parade due to the long wait. The table of four next to us got up and walked out before their food arrived. The table behind us got their kids' muffins but not their hot food. They left. We ask our deserved about the status of our order as my kids (2 and 4) were beginning to get antsy and restless. We were told 5-8 minutes to go. Ok I guess we could handle that if we are super fast. The parade was starting in 15 minutes. So now we've been waiting 1 hour and 15 minutes. 10 minutes later the waitress comes back with my son's fruit and yogurt and says, "so do you just want to cancel your order? I know you're in a hurry and I'll be honest with you, the kitchen hasn't even started working on your ticket yet." Ummmm seriously?! We look over across the restaurant at the other half of our party who is also sitting there with no food. Could this really be happening again?! There are now only 5 tables taken in the entire restaurant and every single one is complaining that either their food took too long or still has not arrived. We cancelled our order and left. The other half of our party now has a table of food, but half had left for the parade. Did their order REALLY come out?! Miracle!!! Oh wait, nope... The waitress brought out an order for a table who had decided to leave and they just said they'd take their food instead! Hilarious. So at least they ate, even though it wasn't what they ordered. Did management apologize or offer to comp their bill? NOPE! They actually had the balls to rewrite the check and charge them for the food the other table had previously ordered. Needless to say this was yet another colossal waste of time. We will NEVER be returning and now this restaurant is a standing joke in our family.

This is a great place. The hosts are just great and courteous . This was one of the place where the pets were also served water as soon as they enter the place. The patio is just great with a nice view. I ordered the crab sandwich which was just AWESOME. The fish sandwich was OK .. Strongly recommend the Crab Sandwich !!
(4)Mike K.
Had the lobster boil for the first time. Lobster was a 2lb Maine. It came with boiled potatoes and corn on the cob and a bowl of lobster bisque. The bisque was ok but did not have much lobster in it. The lobster itself for the main meal was ok as well but not very tender. I expect lobster to melt in your mouth and not to be very chewy at all. The meal also came with a cherry bread pudding for dessert. Again it was ok, but not very exciting. So even though the service was good since it was the offseason, I guess I expected the food to be a little better. Overall, nice place but food was average at best.
(3)Elizabeth H.
This place was exceptional! We had great drinks here the first night we visited. My favorite, a blueberry mojito made by the owner. So good! The next time we visited we had drinks and some appetizers while sitting in their pet friendly outdoor seating area. My parents loved their oysters and the lobster bisque I had was the best I've ever had. So good! We returned another morning for breakfast. Awesome! My mom has the lobster benedict, which she loved. I had an omelette that was really good and my dad had the hash. He loved it too. Besides the food being awesome, the service was exceptional. Everyone we dealt with was kind, fun and gave great service. The building and outdoor seating area was beautiful too. I would suggest visiting at least once on your visit!

This is the second time I've been to Harbor Fish Market. The first time was actually about 4 years ago for the Lobster Boil - there were 3 of us and we all loved it. Tonight, we stopped as we had gone to Cave Point Park and some other parks snowshoeing and wanted a good meal. Not much open this time of year so I brought everyone back to Harbor Fish Market. I think theres a great view of the water and the atmosphere inside is charming. I had great service last time and this time it was just as good. The Harbor Chowder was great. There was two of us that got the shrimp in vodka sauce over angel hair pasta - both of them are still raving about it. I had the vegetable risotto and found it delicious as well - its hard to do a good risotto. Now the dessert and coffee --- its to die for. I'm a coffee finatic, actually there were two of us - we were in seventh heaven! Its amazing coffee. And then we had the cherry pie which was also amazing and the flourless chocolate cake -- amazing!
(5)Michael L.
Well needless to say we did the lobster boil since that's what the reviews were centered on. Place is nice, food was good and came out very timely. We really liked the lobster bisque soup, and the lobster itself was good but nothing overtly different from other places. Dress was long sleeve shirt and jeans for guys, same or sweaters for girls. We had several drinks, didn't really care for them though. They just didn't sit well with either of us. Waiter was very nice. I don't know if I'd make a special trip up here for this, but if your in Baileys Harbor there's really not a lot else to do or go to so...
(3)Mike P.
We stopped again because we felt the food was worth the trip. This time the service was hitting on all cylinders. Bartender was great. Waiter was outstanding. He was so good that we went back the next day and specifically requested him again. I caved in and let my 12 year old order the gargantuan crab legs and they gave him the full treatment; bib, cracker and a table side wine bucket for shells. All four meals were very good and we had no complaints either night. Very pleased that we went back.
(4)Bill G.
For those reviewers that suggest this is a "Tourist Trap"...they obviously don't get out much (or they have an personal axe to grind). The food at Harbor is superb, the view is amazing and bar is very cool. It's about as authentic as it gets. We rank it as one of the Top 5 culinary finds in Door County...and definitely Top 3 north of Sturgeon. And, we can't wait to return.
(5)Julie A.
Second year in a row we took the family here for Easter Brunch. The food and service have been terrific both times. Perfectly cooked lamb, prime rib and baked salmon were favorites along with stuffed cherry french toast, corned beef hash and potatoes au gratin (yum!). A very good value and service friendly and efficient. We never had to wait for a dirty plate to be cleared. They also manage their seatings well so we never felt like we had to wait in a long line for food. My only complaint for both years was the tippy table that shook every time someone walked past. A little annoying when trying to relax with a great meal. Would definitely recommend their holiday brunch buffet!
(4)Tom G.
We have enjoyed lobster rolls at lunch, even if we did have to share with a golden retriever who came along to enjoy the outside tables, with water bowls for dogs. And we did the lobster boil, with the help of a gift certificate, which was delicious and fairly expensive. And on Easter we went for the buffet which they do a couple of times a year, including Mother's Day which appears to be coming up. About $18.95 person, I think, and all the food was excellent including some great potatoes and vegetable dishes, not to mention prime rib and lamb...They only do it a couple of holidays a year and it is worth reserving.
(4)Joe D H.
Lobster boil dinner, service, and outside dinning were all wonderful. Not cheep, but do make it the place for your one great meal in Door County.
(4)C.W. W.
Waitress was very good. Ordered a salad that said it came with apples, maytag bleu cheese and carmelized walnuts. The salad arrived colorless and the carmelized walnuts were unrecognizable as such. Also the granny smith apples tasted like cheap perfume. The bleu cheese was minimal. Basically it was a plate of romaine lettuce for $11.

This place had a nice East Coast feel to it and was situated nicely on water front property. My fishing buddies/more than just friends stumbled upon this establishment around lunch time on a Sunday. We were seated quickly because we missed the breakfast rush and well before dinner time. We all had breakfast and loved it. The Ham and Cheese Omelete I deep throated was thick and fluffy. The smoked ham in the center was BY FAR, the best ham in an omelet I have ever eaten. The prices were a tad high, but worth every penny. Silky-O !

Very well decorated with local art, sunny and bright and lovely views of the Lake. Very reasonable bar breakfast with many options. EXCELLENT Walleye Fish Cakes for breakfast and lunch. Candlelight seating at night inside and outside when the weather permits. They also have a "club" you can join free that gives you $10 off for every $100 spent. Far above average HELPFUL help. Full bar, easy parking. It was hard not to eat all 3 meals here. You actually can eat the Walleye Cakes at Breakfast Lunch and Dinner! Just DO it!

My husband and I went here for dinner. It was a nice, cool August night, so we opted to sit outside on the patio. The landscaping was lush and beautiful, tables were nicely set. The lobster boil was happening about 50' away--something a little different to see for those of us from the deep South. But, unfortunately, it was a Sunday and apparently the garbage hadn't been picked up in a few days and the wind blew the smell right over the patio. Not the ambiance you really want with dinner, alas. The lobster boil was a bit too pricey for us, so we opted to go with a light soup and salad dinner. I got the local fish chowder (whitefish) and a pecan and cranberry salad. My husband got the soup of the day (chicken and vegetable) and a blueberry peach salad. My chowder was OK, but the whitefish was a bit strong for my tastes. The salad was good. My husband loved both of his and I enjoyed a few bites of each. The homemade bread was also good. Our waiter was attentive, but not pushy. Turns out he'd lived in our part of the world and even had our local college, Auburn University, as his ringtone. Enjoyed talking with him. All in all, a fairly good dining experience but probably not one we'd repeat often as all the main entrees were a bit overpriced.

Used to be one of my favorite breakfast places. Now the service is so bad we walked out. And the quiche that was terrific is now dry. I hope they read this and change back to the way they were!

This place is right by the water which is really nice. We sat outside for brunch and ordered a lobster omelet and a lobster benedict. That's the main reason why we went here. My favorite part of my dish was actually the rye bread. The omelet was just meh for me, I wanted to really taste the lobster. However, my husband really enjoyed the lobster benedict. The hash browns were also delicious.

We stopped here for a light lunch. The service was a bit slow for 2 pm but the place is cheery and bright. I had the bowl of whitefish chowder which was very good but a bit pricey at $6.95 for a bowl. I felt the lunch menu was pricey overall for sandwiches and salads. Their soup/sandwich special is $12.95. But, afterall you are in Door County!
